Contract Assignments

Most of the positions available through Bayside are contract assignments. As a Bayside contract employee, your paycheck comes from Bayside but you work at our client’s place of business under the direct supervision of our client. Bayside deducts all local, state, and federal taxes required by law and pays all applicable employment insurances, including workers compensation and state industrial.

Contract employment isn’t for everyone. Contract assignments, by their nature, are not permanent. Usually there is an anticipated duration and assignments are frequently extended. You are never obligated to accept an assignment offered you, but you are expected to complete an assignment once you’ve accepted it.

Every contract is unique, drawn up specifically for you, our client, and your assignment. Some contracts include benefits such as paid holidays and vacation. Other contracts are drawn up only to include a rate of pay for the hours worked. An assignment may require you to relocate. Out-of-town assignments may include travel expenses, per diem, or other perks that make them financially attractive.

You’ll be compensated for your willingness to remain flexible. It’s a matter of supply and demand. The more specialized your skills, the more money your services will command. The more flexible you are, the more options you’ll have available to you.
